The Ministry of Sports expressed a feeling of shame because of Aleynikova’s insults towards Ukrainians
Acting head of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Matvey Bedny on his Facebook page (belongs to the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and is banned) reacted to the threats of the national rowing champion Alsu Aleynikova against her compatriots.
The minister said that he felt shame and disgust when he read the athlete’s words. He emphasized that patriotic values are not being brought up in the citizens of Ukraine, which is why such videos appear. According to the official, no politician has ever paid enough attention to this issue.
On April 30, Aleynikova obscenely insulted Ukrainians and called the residents of the Dnieper beggars who supposedly only eat lard and sausages. She also threatened Russian strikes.
Aleynikova is a master of sports of Ukraine. The athlete became the national champion in 2017, 2018 and 2019 in her age groups. She is the daughter of Dina Miftakhutdinova, a deputy of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Council of the eighth convocation from the Servant of the People party, who is also the 1996 Olympic champion in Atlanta.
