Fitness trainer Natalya Strelkova spoke about the benefits of Nordic walking for the psyche. Her words are quoted by Tyumen Region Today.
According to the specialist, regular exercise in this type of physical activity improves blood oxygen saturation, reduces the excitability of the nervous system, improves mood, normalizes metabolism and helps improve sleep quality. “Such training is especially useful for people suffering from depression. Nordic walking helps you quickly cope with stress,” Strelkova said.
The coach added that, in addition to the psyche, Nordic walking has a positive effect on physical health. “After training, pain in the upper body, legs and back decreases, heart function improves and muscles become stronger,” Strelkova said.
Earlier, cardiologist Herman Gandelman named a simple exercise for the prevention of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. According to him, this is regular walking on the stairs.
