This Tuesday, in a game valid for the semi-final of the Saudi King’s Cup, Jorge Jesus’ Al-Hilal beat Benzema’s Al-Ittihad 2-1, with one player less since the 42nd minute of the first stage. Thus, the team reached the final of the competition.
After the duel, the Portuguese coach stated that the team won the victory by knowing how to suffer.
“Congratulations to the players. Brilliant victory with one less for 60 minutes due to the expulsion of Milinkovic-Savic. We won because we knew how to suffer. We have already won a final (against Al-Ittihad, in the Saudi Super Cup), the Saudi Championship is almost, and now we are in another final. It could be a brilliant season”, he said.
Jorge Jesus also pointed out that despite the victory, it was the most difficult duel he played against Al-Ittihad this season.
“This was the most difficult because of the expulsion, of course. Any team that plays with one more player has an advantage if they know how to take advantage, and today Al Hilal, with one less, were brilliant”, he concluded.
Now, Al-Hilal will face the winner of the duel between Al-Nassr and Al-Khaleej in the final.
