With a goal from Michael, Al-Hilal beat Al-Ittihad 2-1 in the semi-final of Saudi King’s Cup, this Tuesday, at King Abdullah Sports City. The Brazilian’s team was one less due to Savic’s expulsion at the end of the first stage.
Now, Jorge Jesus’ team awaits the winner of the clash between Al-Nassr and Al Khaleej. The confrontation will take place at 3pm (Brasília time) this Wednesday, in the same location.
Al-Hilal returns to focus on the Saudi league in which they face Al Taawon at 12pm this Friday, away from home. Al-Ittihad will face Abha on the same date, at 3 pm, far from their domains.

The game
The game started off busy, with Hamdallah opening the scoring for Al-Ittihad. The move, however, was canceled by VAR for offside.
Later, in the 24th minute, Al-Hilal made it 1-0: Malcom crossed and, after Mitrovic’s pass, Michael completed the ball into the goal. The number 96 came close to extending the advantage, but stopped at goalkeeper Al-Mayouf.
In the final stretch of the first stage, Malcom found the back of the net, but the shot was canceled due to offside at the beginning of the play. Superior in the game, Jorge Jesus’ team was at a numerical disadvantage, as, at 41, Savic was sent off for tackling Al-Ghamdi.
With 15 minutes of added time, Al-Ittihad still tried to leave everything the same before the break. Hamdallah tried to cover goalkeeper Bono, but sent it over the crossbar.
In search of a draw, Marcelo Gallardo’s men pressed. Al-Hilal, on the other hand, held on to maintain their partial victory.
In the 22nd minute, Hamdallah completed a cross and left everything equal for Al-Ittihad. After the goal, both teams had chances to score, with Kanté and Rúben Neves.
In a counterattack, Saud Abdulhamid received a beautiful pass and put Al-Hilal in front of the scoreboard again, this time, definitively.
