Ovechkin estimated reaching fifth place in the number of goals in the NHL

Russian striker of the Washington Capitals club Alexander Ovechkin commented on reaching the fifth place in the number of goals in the National Hockey League. His words are quoted by Match TV.

Earlier on Oct. 14, Ovechkin climbed to fifth in NHL goals in league history thanks to a double in a regular season match against the New York Rangers. The athlete has now scored 732 goals. Ovechkin beat Canadian Marcel Dionne with 731 goals.

The best NHL scorer in history is center striker Wayne Gretzky, who scored 894 goals, also in the top three Gordy Howe (801 goals), Jaromir Jagr (766), on the fourth line of the sniper list – Brett Hull (741).
