Brazilian striker Vitor Roque failed to stand out in his first season at Barcelona. The player has a contract with the Catalan club until 2031, but coach Xavi has not guaranteed his stay.
“We will decide at the end of the season what is best for each player. It is not easy to come from another league, from Brazil, and adapt here. It is not easy,” said Xavi, at a press conference this Sunday.
Vitor Roque left Athletico-PR as one of the biggest promises in Brazilian football. The striker was signed by Barcelona in July 2023, but only arrived in Spain at the beginning of this year. The Spanish team closed an agreement with Furacão for the player that could reach 74 million euros (approximately R$405 million at current prices).

However, the Brazilian was unable to stand out in the Barcelona shirt, given the competition in the position, which has Polish star Robert Lewandowski as its main player.
Vitor Roque entered the field on 13 occasions, only twice as a starter. The striker scored two goals in two consecutive matches, but after that he never found the net again for Barcelona.
