Messi and Suárez score, Matías Rojas debuts and Inter Miami beats New England Revolution in MLS

This Saturday, Inter Miami beat the New England Revolution, 4-1. The clash, valid for the tenth round of the MLS Eastern Conference, took place at Gillette Stadium, with Messi as the protagonist, as the Argentine led the triumph of the Florida team, with two goals. Rojas came on in the second half and participated in one of the goals.

With the three points, Inter Miami remains at the top of the Eastern Conference, with 21 points. The New England Revolution remains at the bottom, with just four units.

For the 11th round of MLS, Inter Miami returns to the pitch, next Saturday (4), to face New York Red Bull, at Chase Stadium, at 8:30 pm (Brasília time). The New England Revolution, in turn, on the same day, at 9:30 pm, visits the Chicago Fire, at Soldier Field.

New England Revolutiou opened the scoring at the beginning of the match, in the first minute. Tomas Chancalay had assistance from Carles Gil to push the ball into the back of the net.

Inter Miami’s equalizer came in the 32nd minute, still in the first half. Lionel Messi received a deep pass inside the area from Robert Taylor, cleared the marking and finished, with his left leg, against the opponent’s goalkeeper.

Messi scored again in the 22nd minute of the second half. This time, it was Sérgio Busquets who found the Argentine in the penalty area. Upon receiving the pass, Messi, free from marking, sent the ball into the back of the net.

Matías Rojas, ex-Corinthians, entered the second half and participated in the Florida team’s third goal, which came in the 38th minute. The Paraguayan invaded the area, won the ball and passed it to Messi, who finished and the goalkeeper saved. On the rebound, Benjamín Chremaschi scored the goal.

In the 43rd minute, Inter Miami closed the score. Messi found Suárez in the penalty area, who finished in the goalkeeper’s right corner.
