Antony scores, but Manchester United draws from Burnley and stumbles against the Englishman

O Manchester United drew 1-1 with Burnley this Saturday, at Old Trafford, in the 35th round of the English Championship. Brazilian Antony scored for the home team, while Amdouni scored the goal for the visiting team.

The draw keeps United in sixth place, with 54 points. The team wasted the chance to get closer to Tottenham, fifth place with six more units. The London team is still playing in the round.

Burnley, in turn, celebrates an important point in English. The team remains in 19th place with just 24 units – two less than Nottingham Forest, the first team outside the zone.

United returns to the field next Monday, against Crystal Palace, in the English Championship. Burnley faces Newcastle, on Saturday, in the same competition.

Manchester United were superior throughout the first half, but were unable to break through Burnley’s defense and went into half-time with the score at zero.

After a lot of pressure, United finally opened the scoring in the 34th minute of the second half. Antony took advantage of a mistake by the visitors’ defense and hit the corner to score his first goal in English this season.

However, the party didn’t last long. At 40 minutes, after a VAR review, the referee awarded a penalty to Burnley. Amdouni converted the kick and left everything the same at Old Trafford.

Manchester United had no choice and had to attack again. Even with six minutes of extra time, the home team was unable to reach the second goal, and the game ended in a draw.
