Spartak footballer convicted in the Netherlands owes money to Russia

Shot: Spartak footballer Promes is wanted by Russian bailiffs due to debts

The Dutch striker of Spartak Moscow, Quincy Promes, is wanted by Russian bailiffs because of debts. This was reported by the Shot Telegram channel.

According to the source, the football player is a co-owner of the Posuda Online company, whose debt amounts to about 165 thousand rubles. In addition, Promes has tax debt in the amount of about 404 thousand rubles.

On February 29, Promes was detained at border control at Dubai airport for being involved in an accident and leaving the scene. Two weeks later, the football player was arrested at the request of the Dutch prosecutor’s office for possible further extradition.

On February 14, an Amsterdam court sentenced Promes in absentia to six years in prison for drug smuggling. In the summer of 2023, he received 18 months in prison in his homeland for attacking his brother with a knife.
