Russian judoka Abdulaev defeated Ukrainian Viskov at the European Championships

Russian judoka Ramazan Abdulaev defeated Ukrainian Nazar Viskov in the weight category up to 60 kilograms at the 2024 European Championships in Croatia. The results are available on the website of the International Judo Federation (IJF).

The athlete won by pinfall in the first round. In the next fight, 25-year-old Abdulaev will meet with Maltese representative James Zahra.

On April 18, Ukraine called for not allowing athletes from Russia due to violation of neutrality requirements and support of a special military operation. They demanded that the International Olympic Committee take action. We are talking about 15 judokas.

The return of Russian judokas to tournaments became known on April 29, 2023. The IJF said it opposes discrimination in sport.
