“It is an absence and his evolution will determine his availability,” added Barça, without giving further details.

The Spanish press guarantees, however, that the Dutch national team player will not return to play for his team until the end of the season, although he may be recovered to compete in the European Championship in Germany (from June 14th to July 14th).
De Jong, 26, was injured on Sunday in a collision with Uruguayan midfielder Federico Valverde in the first half and had to be replaced.
The Dutch midfielder had returned to play on April 10, after recovering from another injury to the same ankle.
The Netherlands will compete in the European Championship in Group D, along with France, Austria and Poland.
