Lens and Rennes win the French Championship and continue in the fight for European competitions

Two games shook up the 30th round of the French Championship, this Saturday. Earlier, Rennes visited Nantes and won 3-0. Then, Lens beat Clermont, at home, 1-0. The two teams continue to fight for a place in European competitions next season.

Nantes 0 x 3 Rennes

Away from home, Rennes beat Nantes 3-0. The goals were scored by Kalimuendo, Bourigeaud, from the penalty spot, and Gouiri, all in the second half. The victory leaves the team with 42 points in 7th place, the first outside the classification zone for continental competitions. Nantes remains at the bottom of the table, with 31 points and in 14th place.

In the next round of the French Championship, Rennes will face Brest, on Sunday (28), at 12:05 pm (Brasília time). Nantes plays against Montpellier, this Friday, at 4 pm.

Lens 1 x 0 Clermont

Lens received and defeated Clermont 1-0, with a goal from Sotoca, from a penalty, just three minutes into the game. The result takes the home team to 46 points in 6th place, which guarantees a place in the playoff of the Conference League. Clermont, in turn, remains at the bottom of the championship with just 22 points.

On Sunday (28), Lens visits Olympique de Marseille, at 4 pm. Clermont hosts Reims, also on Sunday, at 10 am. The two games are valid for the 31st round of the French Championship.
