European tour: Juventus concedes a goal from ex-Palmeiras, but seeks a draw against Cagliari

This Friday, Cagliari and Juventus faced each other at the Sardegna Arena, in a game valid for the 33rd round of the Italian Championship. With goals from Gaetano and Mina, for the home team, and Vlahovic and Dossena (own goal), the teams tied 2-2.

With the result, the home team reached 32 points, provisionally finding themselves in 14th place in the table. Velha Senhora reached 64 goals, occupying third place.

Now, Cagliari will only return to the field on April 28th for the duel with Genoa, in the Italian Championship. Juventus, in turn, will face Lazio next Tuesday, in the semi-final of the Italian Cup.

The game

Juventus’ life began to get complicated in the 27th minute of the opening half, when, after a corner kick, Alberto Dossena rose to head the ball and the Brazilian Bremer ended up blocking the shot with his arm. With the help of VAR, the referee signaled the penalty. From the kick, Gianluca Gaetano converted.

In the 34th minute, Luvumbu received a good pass from the ball and tried to dribble over goalkeeper Szczesny, but suffered a penalty for being brought down by the archer. This time, it was Yerry Mina, ex-Palmeiras, who showed no nervousness and increased the score for Cagliari.

Juventus’ response came 15 minutes into the final stage. After Chiesa was fouled near the box, goalscorer Vlahovic went for the penalty and hit the ball perfectly into the back of the net.

After persisting a lot, Velha Senhora counted on luck and managed to equalize in the 41st minute, when Kenan Yildiz received it on the left and crossed into the area. In an attempt to clear it, Dossena ended up getting the ball wrong and sending it into his own goal.

Lazio vence or Genoa Italian hair

In the other match of the day in the Italian Championship, Lazio visited Genoa and won 1-0. The winning goal was scored by Luis Alberto. Felipe Anderson, who signed a pre-contract with Palmeiras, was involved in the goal.

The defeat keeps Genoa in 12th place, with 39 points achieved. Lazio reached 52 points and provisionally took sixth place.

Eintracht Frankfurt beats Augsburg for Alemão

For the German Championship, Eintracht Frankfurt and Augsburg faced each other at Deutsche Bank Park, in a game valid for the 30th round. With goals from Chaibi, Ekitike and Marmoush, for the home team, and Rubens Vargas, for the visitors, the Frankfurt team won 3-1.

With the three points, the home team reached 45 and occupies sixth place in the table. Augsburg appears right behind, in seventh place, with 39 points.

For the French, Nice beats Lorient

Nice beat Lorient 3-0 at Allianz Riviera, in the 30th round of the French Championship. The goals were scored by Sanson, Jerémie Boga and Guessand.

The result took the home team to 47 points, occupying fifth place in the competition. The visitors, in turn, continue with 26 points, appearing in 17th place.

Athletic Bilbao and Granada draw for Espanyol

At the San Mamés Stadium, Athletic Bilbao and Granada were tied 1-1, in the 32nd round of the Spanish Championship. While Guruzeta scored for the home team, Inaki Willians scored for the visitors.

Athletic Bilbao reached 58 points and is in fifth place in the championship. Granada, in turn, reached 18 points, but remains in 19th place.

Rio Ave is in a draw with Arouca for the Portuguese

In the 30th round of the Portuguese Championship, Rio Ave and Arouca drew 1-1 at Estádio dos Arcos. The goals of the match were scored by Joca, for the home team, and Rafa Mújica, for the visiting team.

With the point won, Arouca reached 44 and momentarily occupies sixth place. Rio Ave reached 31 points and appears in 11th place.
