Figure skater Maria Talalaikina said she does not want to respond to Tarasova’s criticism
Russian figure skater Maria Talalaikina, who announced her retirement, responded to Honored Coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova for comparison with shit. Her words are quoted by Sport Express.
The athlete said that she did not want to get involved in criticism. She noted that she enjoyed every training session and skate, adding that she performed for herself. “Many people told me that it wouldn’t work and I couldn’t. I just did what gives me pleasure,” Talalaikina emphasized.
On April 18, Tarasova ridiculed Talalaikina. According to the coach, few people remembered the 21-year-old athlete. “Are you keeping an eye on every piece of shit?” she asked the reporters.
From December 2021 to October 2022, Talalaikina skated under the Italian flag. After that, she returned to Russia to the group of coach Evgeniy Rukavitsyn. During her career, Talalaikina became a bronze medalist at the stages and finals of the Russian Cup.
