Doctor Vladimirova suggested doing slow head turns to relieve stress
Doctor, specialist in Chinese Taoist medicine Anna Vladimirova recommended two exercises to relieve stress. Her words are reported by Sport Express.
The specialist suggested slowly turning the head from side to side. First, the exercise must be done in three counts, then in 10 and 15 counts. Each time you need to increase the duration of the movement and pay attention to the fact that it relaxes. “How many pleasant sensations arise? Hundreds. And the muscles of the neck, shoulders and even the head begin to be felt, and the face relaxes,” Vladimirova shared.
Next, the doctor recommended doing similar turns on the twelfth thoracic vertebra. “Place one hand on the solar plexus (the bundle of nerves under the diaphragm, approximately in the middle of the abdomen under the ribcage), and the other on the back opposite this area. This will be the twelfth thoracic vertebra,” Vladimirova explained. She noted that these exercises work on the active zones of the spine and build contact between the brain and the body.
Earlier, yoga instructor Alexandra Churkina spoke about the benefits of the downward-facing dog pose. The specialist emphasized that during the exercise the mind calms down.
