Russian boxers Beterbiev and Bivol will fight on June 1 in Riyadh
Russian boxers Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev officially announced the fight. This was reported on the Matchroom Boxing YouTube channel.
The athletes signed a contract for the fight, which will take place on June 1 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). The winner will become the undisputed light heavyweight world champion.
On January 14, 2024, Beterbiev met in the ring with Briton Callum Smith and won by technical knockout in the seventh round. He defended three world titles in the light heavyweight category – according to the World Boxing Council (WBC), the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and the World Boxing Organization (WBO). During his career, 38-year-old Beterbiev won 19 victories and did not suffer a single defeat.
32-year-old Bivol won 21 victories and did not suffer a single defeat in his professional career. He holds the World Boxing Association (WBA) light heavyweight title.
