Basketball player Marjanovic deliberately missed for the sake of free chicken for fans
Houston Rockets player Boban Marjanovic intentionally missed a free throw in the National Basketball Association (NBA) regular season match with the Los Angeles Clippers. A fragment of the meeting is shown on the Chaz NBA YouTube channel.
At some NBA stadiums there is a promotion – if a player of the visiting team misses the free throw line twice, then the fans are given something for the promotion. At the Clippers arena, fans were promised free chicken sandwiches.
With the score 105:97, Marjanovic accidentally missed a goal from the penalty area. After that, he showed that he would deliberately throw it wide for the second time so that the fans would get sandwiches.
In the end, the Rockets won with a score of 116:105. Marjanovic scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
