Vyalbe about the collapse of skiers: all the big leaders are white and fluffy, but I’m in shit
The head of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR), Elena Vyalbe, assessed in one phrase the situation with the massive turnout of skiers at the Spartakiad in Sochi. Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
Vyalbe recalled that the FLGR fought until the very end not to hold the Spartakiad in Sochi. “The big leaders made it happen. And now they are all white and fluffy, and Vyalbe is in shit,” she said.
Earlier, commentator Dmitry Guberniev called the people who decided to hold the race criminals. Among other things, he condemned Vyalbe, who stated the low level of training of the athletes, and the senior coach of the Russian national team, Yegor Sorin. The latter responded by calling the journalist a scoundrel.
A massive collapse during a ten-kilometer race occurred in Sochi on March 8. A total of 18 skiers were injured and were hospitalized.
