With goals from Messi and Suárez, Inter Miami surpasses Sporting Kansas City in MLS

This Saturday, at Children’s Mercy Park, in the eighth round of MLS, Inter Miami beat Sporting Kansas City 3-2. Lionel Messi provided an assist and scored a goal, Luis Suárez, in turn, also found the net in a opportunity.

Thus, the team led by ‘Tata’ Martino leads the Eastern Conference with 15 points scored. Sporting Kansas City, given the setback, falls to seventh place in the Western Conference of the national tournament, with 10 units.

For the ninth round of MLS, Lionel Messi’s team returns to the pitch next Saturday (20), to face Nashville, at 8:30 pm (Brasília time), at Chase Stadium. Sporting Kansas City, on the same day, at 9:30 pm, hosts St. Louis City, at Children’s Mercy Park.

The goals

In the 6th minute, it was Sporting Kansas City who opened the scoring. Erik Thommy received it from Tim Leibold and, from outside the area, finished in the right corner of goalkeeper Callender.

Inter Miami tied at 18 minutes, still in the first half. Lionel Messi made a deep pass to Diego Gómez, at the edge of the area. The Paraguayan shot low, first time, to fill the net.
