Bruno Fernandes scores twice, and United are tied with Bournemouth for the English

This Saturday, Bournemouth and Manchester United faced each other at the Vitality Stadium, in a game valid for the 33rd round of the English Championship. With goals from Solanke and Kluivert, for the home team, and Bruno Fernandes (2), for the visitors, the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

The result takes Bournemouth to 42 points, occupying 12th place in the Premier League. Manchester United reaches 50 points and is in seventh place.

Bournemouth’s next challenge is only scheduled for next Sunday, at 11am (Brasília time), against Aston Vila, in the English Championship. United also returns to the field only on another Sunday, at 11:30 am, however, in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, against Coventry City.

Bournemouth opened the scoring 15 minutes into the first half, when Garnacho lost the ball to Senesi, who quickly passed it to Solanke. In one-on-one with Kambwala, the defender stayed on the ground and the number 9 took advantage to hit the ball from outside the area into the back of the net.

Manchester United’s response came in the 30th minute. Garnacho received it on the right and crossed low into the small area. The opposing defender even tried to move it away, but the ball fell to Bruno Fernandes, who scored the ball to tie the match.

The United fans’ happiness didn’t last long, as the home team returned to the lead a few minutes later, in the 35th minute. Kluivert received the ball unmarked, invaded the area and hit the goalkeeper Onana hard in the right corner, who was unable to do anything.

United tied the match again 20 minutes into the final stage. Mainoo tried to shoot from outside the area, however, the ball ended up deflecting off Christie and hitting Smith’s hand. The referee quickly signaled the penalty and, on the kick, Bruno Fernandes converted.
