Zenit legionnaire Nino said that Russians’ pride in their country delights him
The Brazilian legionnaire of St. Petersburg Zenit Nino named a trait of the Russian people that makes him admire. The footballer’s words are quoted by Sport Express.
According to the player, this is pride in one’s country and history. “This was clear from everything I read, saw and heard about Russia and its people. Therefore, even before coming here, I knew that I would want to learn more about the culture and the city,” said the Brazilian.
Nino added that he studies Russian three times a week. “When I’m at home, sometimes I turn on the TV on a random channel and try to understand what they’re saying. This is a good training in listening skills,” the player added.
Nino signed a four-year contract with Zenit earlier this year. This season, the defender played four matches in the Russian Premier League (RPL), in which he was not effective.
