Pak said that the tracks at the biathlon tournament in Murmansk are better than Norwegian ones
Executive Director of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) Alexander Pak spoke about the features of holding the Commonwealth Cup stage in Murmansk. His words are quoted by Sport Express.
The functionary noted the high level of preparation of the tracks. “The day before yesterday Nikolai Zagursky (Honored Trainer of Russia – approx. “Tapes.ru”) watched the races of the Norwegian championship. I can say that the tracks here are royal compared to where the Norwegian Biathlon Championships took place,” said Park.
Earlier, the head of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR), Elena Vyalbe, said that foreigners watch Russian tournaments and are jealous. She also noted that she does not watch international competitions, as they are not interesting to her.
Russians and Belarusians do not participate in international competitions by decision of the International Biathlon Union (IBU). The order came into force in March 2022 and will remain in effect until further notice.
