Baskonia retires Tiago Splitter’s shirt

He Baskonia will hang the shirt Tiago Splitter at the top of the Fernando Buesa Arena on May 5, before facing Girona in Vitoria.
The Basque club will pay tribute to one of the club’s legends, trained in its youth categories and who defended the Barça shirt for seven successful seasons. He retired in 2018 due to an injury.
He is one of the most successful players in the history of Baskonia with 9 titles. He achieved 2 ACB Leagues (2008 and 2010), 3 Copas del Rey (2004, 2006 and 2009) and 4 ACB Super Cups (2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008).
Besides, Splitter He played in four editions of the Euroleague ‘Final Four’ and was awarded the MVP of the ACB season in 2010. The center debuted on October 3, 2004 with the Baskonia shirt with a victory against Bilbao Basket. He played a total of 413 games, 276 in ACB and 137 in Euroleague with the Baskonista team and is currently the sixth player with the most matches in the history of the entity.
The t-shirt of Tiago Splitter will be shown at the Buesa Arena along with those of Luis Scola, Pablo Prigioni, Igor Rakocevic and Sergi Vidal.
