Foreign Ministry representative Zakharova called the head of the IOC Bach the conductor of the anti-Russian fuss
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova commented on the anti-Russian position of the head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach. She spoke about this on Channel One.
Zakharova called Bach the conductor of the anti-Russian fuss within the Olympic institutions and institutes. “These confessions, in my opinion, became sensational. It is obvious that the investigation should be both public and journalistic, and, of course, within this structure itself,” she emphasized.
Earlier, Bach assessed Russia’s attitude towards the IOC. “You know, we are now a fascist organization for them,” he said.
Also, during a conversation with pranksters Vovan (Vladimir Kuznetsov) and Lexus (Alexey Stolyarov), Bach and Vice-President of the European Commission Margaritis Schinas prayed in honor of “saints Vovan and Lexus” to disrupt the Friendship Games, which are to be held in Russia in September 2024.
In December 2023, the IOC allowed Russians and Belarusians to participate in the Olympics in Paris as individual neutral athletes. At the same time, athletes who support a special operation in Ukraine, as well as those who have connections with the armed forces or security agencies of Russia and Belarus, will not be allowed to participate in the competition. In addition, representatives of team sports will miss the tournament.
