Enzo Fernández reveals difficulty in adapting to Chelsea: “I still don’t feel 100%”

Midfielder Enzo Fernández spoke this Wednesday about his start at Chelsea and admitted that he was unable to show his best football in the London team. The Argentine arrived at the club in January last year for high fees after good performances at Benfica and winning the World Cup with his team.

“I’m trying to get there, in the version of myself that you saw at the World Cup. I want to feel like that Enzo again. I feel good, getting better and better every day, but I still don’t feel 100%. I continue to adapt and I don’t feel totally me, but I try to get there as quickly as possible, working hard every day. It won’t be easy, because the World Cup is over, but I continue to grow as a player and develop my skills. I want to feel like myself again”, revealed Enzo in an interview with Chelsea’s official website.

Even with a difficult start, the midfielder praised the English Championship.

“In my opinion, the Premier League is the best league in the world. It’s very dynamic and has a lot of quality players. I always watched it on television and the intensity, the atmosphere was different… Now that I’m experiencing it, it’s incredible. The first six months They were difficult for me, I had difficulties adapting, but now I feel much more prepared than at the beginning”, he said.

This season, the Argentine played 38 games, scored seven goals and provided three assists. Chelsea currently occupies ninth place in the Premier League, with 44 points from 30 games played, and is in the semi-final of the FA Cup, which will be played against Manchester City.

Despite the London team’s season not being exciting, Enzo demonstrated his happiness in playing for the club and praised the team’s fans.

“I love being at a club as big as Chelsea. I enjoy the Premier League every weekend with the fans, who are very passionate. I love being here”, he reported.

Chelsea takes to the field next Monday, at 4pm (Brasília time), against Everton, at Stamford Bridge, in the English Championship.
