Former coach of the Russian national football team Stanislav Cherchesov made a memo for coaches on how to effectively work with Zenit striker Artem Dzyuba. His words are quoted by “Championship.com”.
“Point one: accept Artyom as he is. Point two: look at the first point, “said Cherchesov. According to the specialist, this will help coaches get the most out of a football player.
In September, Dziuba refused to be called up to the national team for the October qualifying matches for the 2022 World Cup. The forward motivated this by the fact that he was in a form that was not optimal for this. This season, the 33-year-old striker has played 25 games for the blue-white-blue in all competitions, scored ten goals and provided seven assists.
On December 20, Cherchesov became the head of the Hungarian “Ferencvaros”. It is also possible that in parallel the specialist will start working as the head coach of the Hungarian national team.
Since 2016, Cherchesov has headed the Russian national team. He left the team in July 2021 after an unsuccessful performance at the European Championships, where the Russians failed to overcome the group stage of the tournament. His place was taken by Valery Karpin.
