The first mistake was the lack of warm-up. To avoid injury, it was advised to do some stretching before running and start at a slow pace.
The authors also recommended paying attention to your position on the track – if you are running close to the start, this is incorrect. It would be more correct to stay in the middle of the machine, which will help you work freely with your hands and not instinctively lean back. In addition, you should not constantly hold on to the handrails, since in this position the body is fixed and the muscles of the arms, shoulders and neck are compressed.
Another mistake is choosing the wrong shoes. “When choosing sneakers, you should pay attention to the following characteristics: the sole should bend well, should protect the feet and not be too thin, the heel material should not be too soft or hard,” the material notes.
Finally, the authors advised against wearing weights on your arms, as it is unsafe. “If you want to make it more challenging, wear a vest on your body or weights on your legs,” they suggested.
