Benfica remains alive in the Europa League and returns to the field this Thursday, at 4 pm (Brasília time), against Olympique de Marseille, in the first leg of the quarter-finals. Sporting, in turn, visits Gil Vicente this Friday, at 4:15 pm, via Portuguese.

Sporting opened the scoring just 40 seconds into the game. Pedro Gonçalves raised the ball in the area after a good move on the left side and the goalkeeper managed to clear it, but Catamo took advantage of the rebound and scored.
Benfica equalized in the first half. With a free kick, Di María found Alexander Bah, who headed the ball into the goal in the 47th minute.
Sporting only secured the victory in second-half stoppage time. Benfica’s defense managed to clear the corner, but Catamo was left with the surplus and hit a cross to seal the triumph.
