Irina Viner considered neutral athletes at the Olympic Games to be people without Russian citizenship
The head of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics, Irina Viner, again criticized the Russians who plan to take part in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“If there are no attributes, then there is no country; if there is no country, then these are people who should not have Russian citizenship. If they do not have to have Russian citizenship, then they are truly neutral,” concluded Wiener. She added that the Russians who will perform at the Olympic Games will become supporters of the International Olympic Committee sanctions against their country.
Earlier, Wiener called neutral athletes at the Games homeless. She noticed that the names of the Russians who would become Olympic champions would not be in the medal count, and considered this a humiliation.
On April 5, the head of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), Stanislav Pozdnyakov, criticized Russian tennis players who want to compete at the Olympic Games. He called them a team of foreign agents.
