Candidate of Medical Sciences, doctor of the highest category Andrei Sakharov named the main mistakes of those who begin to follow a healthy lifestyle. His words are quoted by Sport Express.
According to him, the first mistake is nutrition. “Many novice health practitioners prefer to choose low-calorie foods and fast, forgetting that the main rule of a healthy diet is balance,” the doctor noted.
Sakharov also said that many beginners are immediately overly interested in physical activity. “They think the more training the better. Actually this is not true. In order to keep the body in good shape, two or three workouts a week are enough,” added Sakharov.
The doctor also advised to pay special attention to the technique of doing the exercises. In his opinion, it is better to practice under the supervision of a trainer for the first few months.
Earlier, fitness trainer Elena Sobol named the main mistakes in fitness that slow down progress. First, Sobol advised avoiding caffeinated drinks after a workout.
