The IOC clarified the requirements for the neutral uniform of Russians at the Olympics

The IOC will not require the Russians to wear a single neutral uniform at the Olympic Games

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has clarified the requirements for the neutral uniform of Russians at the 2024 Olympics. The organization is quoted by TASS.

“Since neutral athletes will be competing individually, they do not need to wear a uniform. However, competition and non-competition clothing must comply with the same recommendations,” the IOC said.

It is noted that these recommendations are set out in the “Principles of Participation for Individual Neutral Athletes,” which were approved by the IOC Executive Committee on December 8, 2023.

Earlier, the IOC said that Russians will have the same rights as other Olympians.

In December 2023, the IOC allowed Russians and Belarusians to participate in the Olympics in Paris as individual neutral athletes. At the same time, athletes who support a special operation in Ukraine, as well as those who have connections with the armed forces or security agencies of Russia and Belarus, will not be allowed to participate in the competition. In addition, representatives of team sports will miss the tournament.
