Rรบben has been at Sporting since March 2020 and has won four titles: two Portuguese League Cups, one Portuguese Championship and a Portuguese Super Cup. In the current season, they are at the top of the local league and beat Benfica in the first game of the Portuguese Cup semi-finals. Internationally, they fell to Atalanta in the round of 16 Europa League.
Rรบben also revealed that it is important for him to disregard rumors that Sporting are already in contact with a possible replacement.
“Completely (important), the only thing that bothers me is that they (Sporting) already have a replacement. Today I spoke to Hugo Viana (sporting director) to calm down because that’s not how it works”, he concluded.
