Pavlovich said that the fight with Volkov in the UFC will only be for the title
Russian mixed style (MMA) fighter Sergei Pavlovich made a statement about a fight with compatriot Alexander Volkov in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). His words are quoted by the Telegram channel “Impact News”.
“There will be no fight against Sasha on my part, and I think that on his part they will also refuse. Now our agents must sort everything out,” said Pavlovich. He noted that the UFC initially knew that the athletes were ready to fight only for the title.
The fight between Pavlovich and Volkov was announced on March 28. It was reported that it will take place at the UFC tournament in Saudi Arabia on June 22.
The 31-year-old Pavlovich has 18 wins and two losses. The Russian is ranked third in the UFC heavyweight rankings. 35-year-old Volkov has 37 wins and 10 losses in MMA. He is ranked sixth in the UFC heavyweight rankings.
