This Sunday, in the semi-final of the under-17 women’s South American Championship, the Brazilian Team thrashed the Paraguay by the score of 5 to 1, at Estadio Carfem, in Ypané (PAR). Thus, the team led by Simone Jatobá managed to win the title undefeated.
Before, last Thursday, Brazil had already secured its place in the World Cup by drawing with Colombia, 2-2, in the second round of the final quadrangular. The World Cup will be played in the Dominican Republic in October.

The Canarinha team scored the first three goals of the rout before the 20th minute of the first half. The first was from Juju Harris, in the 11th minute. Giovanna Waksman scored the second at 13. And, at 20, Aninha scored the Brazilian’s third.
Paraguay scored at the beginning of the second half, in the 2nd minute, with Cristian Martínez. However, Brazil remained in control of the match and increased the score, in the 11th minute, with Kalena. At 31 minutes, to close the score, Sofia scored the fifth.
This Sunday’s achievement, in Paraguay, is the Women’s Team’s fifth in the South American Championship. Amarelinha also won in 2010, 2012, 2018 and 2022.
