São Paulo beats FC Dallas and secures fourth U-19 Dallas Cup title

This Sunday, the São Paulo reached their fourth Dallas Cup U19 title by beating FC Dallas by the score of 3 to 2. The final took place at the Toyota Soccer Center, in Frisco (USA), and Tricolor’s goals were scored by Lucas Ferreira, Bernardo and Igor.

Tricolor opened the scoring in the 14th minute of the game with Lucas Ferreira, who was assisted by Ryan Francisco. However, in the first half, at 37, with a penalty, and at 43, in a counterattack, FC Dallas turned the match around.

In the complementary stage, São Paulo managed to score the equalizer in the 21st minute with Bernardo, who needed a pass from Alves to find the net. At 34, the team scored the third goal with Igor, with an assist from Ryan Francisco, the player’s second in the match.

Thus, the São Paulo club reaches its fourth title in the international competition with 100% success. Before beating Fulham, from England, in the semi-final, Tricolor beat Eintracht Frankfurt, from Germany, and CF Monterrey, from Mexico in the first two rounds.

The Under-19 Dallas Cup is a youth competition that takes place annually in the city of Dallas, Texas, and is recognized as one of the most prominent both in the United States and worldwide.

São Paulo completed its eighth participation in the tournament with six finals and four trophies lifted. In addition to 2024, he was champion in 1995 over Milan, in 2007 over Chelsea and in 2009 over the Vancouver Whitecaps.
