The first half was marked by the expulsion of Brazilian defender Lucas Beraldo. In the 40th minute, the defender fouled Aubameyang and, after a VAR review, the referee showed the PSG player a red card.
Even with one man less, PSG managed to open the scoring in the second half. After just eight minutes, Vitinha linked up with Dembelé and finished first time into the goalkeeper’s corner to score the leader’s first goal.
After the goal, Marseille threw themselves into the attack, as expected. The team even tied the duel, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
PSG extended the lead in the 40th minute. Gonçalo Ramos got in the goalkeeper’s face and hit to score the second goal and last goal for the visiting team in the match.
