Raphinha shines, and Barcelona beats Las Palmas at home in the Spanish Championship

This Saturday, for the 30th round of the Spanish Championshipo Barcelona beat Las Palmas by a slim score of 1-0. Raphinha was the highlight of the match that took place at the LluĂ­s Companys Olympic Stadium, participating decisively in several plays during the 90 minutes.

Thus, the Catalans reach 67 points recorded in the national tournament and remain in second place. Distance to the leader Real Madrid, now, it is five points, but the Merengues enter the field this Sunday aiming to maintain their advantage. Las Palmas is in 12th place with 30 units.

Barça returns to the pitch on April 10th, to face Paris Saint Germain for the first leg of the quarter-finals of Champions League. The match will be at Parque dos Príncipes, at 4pm (Brasília time). Las Palmas, in turn, on the 14th of the same month, receives the Sevillaat the Gran Canaria Stadium, at 9 am, for the 31st round of the Spanish Championship.

In the 19th minute of the first half, Brazilian Raphinha found the net in a quick counterattack by Barcelona. However, after a VAR review, the goal was disallowed, as the referee understood that the attacker participated in the play when he was offside.

At 24 minutes, Raphinha participated again in a crucial move in the match. This time, the Brazilian was launched at speed and anticipated Las Palmas goalkeeper Álvaro VallĂ©s, who hit the Catalan team’s athlete. Thus, the referee presented a direct red card to the visitors’ archer.

Barcelona managed to open the scoring only 14 minutes into the second half. JoĂŁo FĂ©lix received it on the left and carried the ball towards the middle. Without pressure from the opponent’s marking, the Portuguese made a beautiful throw into the penalty area, finding Raphinha. The Brazilian, with his head, dislodged the archer to score Barça’s only goal.
