One of the biggest duels in England will gain another chapter this Sunday, when Manchester City and Arsenal face each other in the English Championship. Mikel Arteta, who was once Guardiola’s assistant coach and is now coach of the London team, praised the rival commander and recalled his times working on the same side.
“In my opinion, he is by far the best coach in the world. He is one of the nicest people I have met in football. Certainly one of the people I had the most fun and enjoyed working with. That will stay with me forever”, he said this Friday- fair, in a press conference.
“The intelligence, the way he deals with the team and the club, how demanding he is. He has an incredible work ethic and that’s something people don’t see, but it’s a lot of work behind the scenes.”
💬 “I know the passion that he lives the game, the intelligence, the way he handles his team and the club as well, and how demanding he is, and then he has an incredible work ethic.”
