Peskov said that France should ensure the safety of Russians at the Olympic Games 2024
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov named those responsible for ensuring the safety of Russians at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. His words are quoted by TASS.
According to him, this should be done by the French side. He also noted that Russia will not be able to interfere in the process.
In addition, Peskov remembered the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. “Ensuring security was a very responsible, very extensive area of work. But, as you know, the Sochi Olympics, as recognized by the IOC leadership, was one of the best Winter Olympic Games,” the Kremlin representative noted.
Earlier, the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI) of France recommended the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs to refuse to hold the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. It was clarified that the security services feared for the safety of the event participants.
