Rangers forward Panarin scored 100 points in an NHL season for the first time in his career
Russian forward of the New York Rangers Artemi Panarin scored 100 points in a season in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the first time in his career. Statistics are available on the league website.
In the regular season match against the Philadelphia Flyers (6:5), the striker scored three assists. The total number of points he scored for the season was 102 (43 goals and 59 passes). It took him 72 games to achieve this.
Panarin became the eighth Russian in history who managed to score at least 100 points in one NHL regular season. Previously, this achievement was achieved by Alexander Ovechkin, Evgeniy Malkin, Nikita Kucherov, Kirill Kaprizov, Sergei Fedorov, Pavel Bure and Alexander Mogilny.
Panarin, 32, has been with the Rangers since 2019. The Russian’s contract with the club for a total amount of $81.5 million runs until 2026.
