Chile opened the scoring 6 minutes into the first half. After receiving assistance from Mauricio Isla, Marcelino Núñez managed to beat the French goalkeeper.
However, the French team secured the turnaround in the first 45 minutes. At 19, Mbappé found Fofana who didn’t waste anything and tied the match. Kolo Muani, in the 25th minute, needed assistance from Theo Hernández to finish strongly and score the second French goal of the game.
In the 27th minute of the second half, Kolo Muani played beautifully on the left, invaded the area and found Giroud, free of marking. The attacker, with his right leg, scored France’s third.
Chile reacted in the 37th minute. Darío Osório took advantage of France’s mistake, charged and fired a rocket into Maignan’s bottom left corner.
