South Korea beat Thailand 3-0 this Tuesday, away from home, in a match valid for the fourth round of the second phase of the Asian Qualifiers for the World Cup. The game’s goals were scored by Lee Jae-sung, Son Heung-min, Tottenham forward, and Park Jin-seop.
With the positive result, the visitors occupy first place in Group C of the Qualifiers, with ten points from four games. The home team remains in third place, with four points.
South Korea takes the field again on June 6, against Singapore, away from home, in the fifth round of the second phase of the Asian Qualifiers for the World Cup. Thailand faces China on the same day, also away from their fans.

South Korea lived up to their favoritism and put pressure on Thailand from the start of the game, it didn’t take long for the visiting team to open the scoring. In the 19th minute of the first half, Gue-sung Cho received a free kick in the area, dribbled past the goalkeeper and finished, the ball slowly went into the net, but before it entered, Jae-Sung Lee touched it to secure the goal.
In the second half, South Korea maintained the momentum shown in the initial stage and expanded after nine minutes. Playmaker Son Heung-min received a great pass from Kang-in Lee, advanced with the ball into the area, pedaled to the left and finished low between goalkeeper Patiwat Khammai’s legs.
At the end of the match, in the 37th minute of the second half, Jin-seob Park increased the South Koreans’ advantage. Jin-su Kim crossed from the left, Min-jae Kim headed it to the midfielder, who shot firmly into the small area to score the third and final goal of the game.
