Medvedev, when asked about refereeing in football and hockey, replied that both are worse
Chairman of the Board of Directors of SKA Alexander Medvedev assessed refereeing in Russian hockey with a quote from Joseph Stalin. His words are quoted by Sport24.
The head of the army was asked where referees work worse: in domestic hockey or football? “At one time, one well-known political figure answered a similar question: “Which deviation is worse: left or right?” gave a suitable answer here: “Both are worse,” Medvedev replied.
Earlier, Medvedev drew attention to several episodes in the matches of the second round of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) playoffs with Ekaterinburg Avtomobilist, which, in his opinion, were interpreted in favor of the opponent. He demanded an answer from the judges.
On March 25, SKA was eliminated from the Gagarin Cup, losing to Avtomobilist in the fifth match of the series with a score of 4:5. Thus, the series ended with a score of 4-1 in favor of the Ekaterinburg team.
