Bilbao Basket wins the victory against Baskonia (82-80) in the Basque derby

Bilbao Basket beat Baskonia 82-80on Sunday, March 24, basque derby corresponding to the 26th day of the Endesa League which was played at the Bilbao Arena. A last-gasp three-pointer from Kullame sealed the match.
The first quarter was disputed and even. Neither team was able to open a gap on the scoreboard, but in the last three minutes of the quarter Bilbao Basket won, gaining a six-point lead. (28-22).
At the beginning of the second quarter, Bilbao played better, but Baskonia responded, and with less than five minutes left until halftime, the Vitorian team tightened the result (36-33). In the final stretch of the quarter, Bilbao Basket achieved a lead of 7 points, but Baskonia reduced the disadvantage to two points (43-41) before reaching the break.
After the break, the equality was maximum. At the halfway point of the third quarter, in the 25th minute of the match, the scoreboard reflected a tie at 54 (54-54). Then, the Alava team played better and, therefore, gained a four-point advantage (59-63).
The last quarter was also exciting. At first, Baskonia maintained its income. Then it was Bilbao Basket that took the lead in the electronic game. However, with 45 seconds remaining, Baskonia gained a one-point lead (77-78). Afterwards, Bilbao Basket gained a one-point advantage (79-78), with 23 seconds remaining. The match was decided in the final nine seconds. Baskonia faced the final seconds with a favorable score of 79-80, while Bilbao Basket did so with ball possession. The Bilbao team knew how to take advantage of the last possession, and thanks to a three-pointer by Kullamae almost in the last breath, Bilbao Basket took the victory (82-80).
