Valencia Basket, champion of the Queen’s Cup
Valencia Basket won the first Queen’s Cup in its history in Huelva after beating Casademont Zaragoza, winner last year, 77-53
The Valencian team started the final strong and went 10-2. Afterwards, they extended their lead and ended the first quarter with a score of 21-12.
In the second quarter, Zaragoza found a way to attack from the inside, and managed to reduce the deficit to 10 points (24-16). However, Valencia reacted and went into the break with a 17-point advantage (47-30).
In the third quarter Valencia took the lead and in three minutes, raised the difference to over 20 points (51-30). Thus, Valencia Basket left the final almost decided (60-41).
In the final and final quarter, Zaragoza was not able to reduce its deficit, Valencia felt comfortable and the match ended with a final score of 77-53.
