Coach Marchenko: the people who led the evacuation from Crocus resembled volunteers
The head coach of the Focus dance club, Dmitry Marchenko, told the details of the evacuation during the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. His words are quoted by RT.
Marchenko said that the people leading the evacuation were wearing reflective vests and looked like volunteers. “They directed the flow. They stood at all corners and turns. They suggested where to go. Moreover, the panic was very clear on their faces,” he noted.
Earlier, the head of the All-Russian Federation of Dance Sports, Breaking and Acrobatic Rock and Roll, Nadezhda Erastova, responded to accusations of inaction during the terrorist attack. She emphasized that after the warning signal the tournament was stopped, and before that preventive measures were taken.
On March 22, the Russian Ballroom Dancing Championship was held at Crocus Expo. That same evening, in a nearby building, Crocus City Hall, men in camouflage uniforms opened targeted fire at people with machine guns.
