The Secretary General of the Paraguayan Football Federation, Luis Kanonnikoff, responded to the decision to cancel a friendly match with the Russian national team in connection with the terrorist attack in the Moscow region. His words are quoted by Sport24.
“We stand with the people of Russia and deeply regret the sad events,” Kanonnikoff said, adding that a decision to reschedule the match to another date has not yet been made.
The cancellation of the friendly match between Russia and Paraguay became known on March 23. The Russian Football Union stated that the parties will be able to hold the meeting at another time.
Crocus City Hall was attacked on the evening of March 22. At least five terrorists armed with machine guns entered the building and opened targeted fire on those inside. According to preliminary data, 93 people became victims of the terrorist attack, and more than a hundred were injured.
