With a goal from Mariana, São Paulo seeks a draw against Ferroviária in the Brazilian women’s championship

This Friday, at the Marcelo Portugal Gouveia Stadium, São Paulo e Railway drew 1-1, opening the third round of the Brazilian championship feminine. The visiting team opened the scoring, but Tricolor sought a draw with Mariana Santos.

Thus, São Paulo remains in second place with five points, however it could lose some positions after the rest of the matches in this round. Ferroviária, in turn, moves up to third place with five points and could also move down the table.

For the fourth round of the women’s Brasileirão, São Paulo returns to the pitch, next Friday, at the Luso-Brasileiro Stadium, at 7pm (Brasília time), to face Fluminense. Ferroviária, on the same day, faces Cruzeiro, at Estádio Doutor Adhemar de Barros, at 4pm.

The goals

Ferroviária opened the scoring in the 22nd minute of the second half. With a free kick, Micaelly hit towards the goal. The ball did not deflect off anyone, deceiving goalkeeper Carlinha and went into the back of the net.

Tricolor equalized after 35 minutes. In a well-armed attack by the home team, the ball fell to Mariana Santos inside the area, who sent a rocket, with no chance for Luciana.
