The KHL playoff match between Spartak and Metallurg was canceled due to a terrorist attack

The fourth match of the second round of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) playoffs between Spartak Moscow and Metallurg Magnitogorsk, which was supposed to take place on March 23, has been cancelled. This was reported on the red-white website.

The cause was a terrorist attack that occurred in the Crocus City Hall concert hall in the Moscow region. The meeting between the teams will be rescheduled to another date, which the KHL will inform further.

Crocus City Hall was attacked on Friday evening, March 22. At least five terrorists armed with machine guns entered the building and opened targeted fire on those inside. According to preliminary data from the FSB, 40 people became victims of the terrorist attack, and more than a hundred were injured.
