According to a Sofascore survey, the Brazilian participated in 41 games this season, scored 10 goals and recorded 10 assists. With this, he became the top-scoring midfielder in Europe’s top five leagues and the player in the position with the most goal contributions.
The Aston Villa player still has an 89% pass accuracy rate, made 60 decisive passes and converted 80% of the clear chances he had (8/10).
Douglas Luiz was remembered by Dorival Júnior and will defend the Brazilian team in friendlies against England, on the 23rd, and Spain, on the 26th. For Brazil, he won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021.

Aston Villa returns to the field this Sunday, at 11 am (Brasília time) when they visit West Ham for the 29th round of the English Championship.
